SCRANTON — Mostly Opera, a non-profit theater group featuring local and regional singers, along with dancers from the Scranton Civic Ballet, will present “Viva Italia!” an evening of Italian songs, in celebration of Columbus Day, on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Scranton Hilton.

The event will feature a full course dinner with an Italian theme to accompany the music. Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and appetizers, followed by dinner and the show.

The voices of the Mostly Opera will entertain guests for two hours, with Italian folk songs such as “Santa Lucia,” “O Sole Mio” and “Sorriento” and Italian American favorites like “Mambo Italiano,” “Lazy Mary,” “Josefina” and “Mala Femina.” Also featured in the program are dancers from the Scranton Civic Ballet in “Terantella” and more.
